A much better year of films compared to last year and I have high hopes for my predictions this year. That said, don’t blame me for any office pool losses.

Best Supporting Actor – Christoph Waltz
Best Supporting Actress – Anne Hathaway
Best Original Screenplay – Django Unchained
Best Adapted Screenplay – Argo
Best Original Score – Life of Pi
Best Original Song – Skyfall
Best Editing – Argo
Best Cinematography – Life of Pi
Best Production Direction – Anna Karenina -> Lincoln
Best Costume Design – Anna Karenina
Best Makeup – The Hobbit -> Les Miserables
Best Sound Mixing – Les Miserables
Best Sound Editing – Skyfall (kind of???) Funny, just before this was announced I seriously turned to my wife and said, “It could also go to Zero Dark Thirty.” (in case you didn’t watch, they tied)
Best Visual Effects – Life of Pi

UPDATE: So, a great year for my oscar predictions, tying my best record with only 4 of the main awards missed.
